How to measure your existing window openings…

First and foremost, it is important to understand that measurements you will be taking do NOT need to be perfectly accurate as they are for PRICING PURPOSES ONLY! If at any point in the future you elect to purchase replacement windows from Windows Over The Web, a trained factory representative will make a brief visit to your home re-measure your existing window openings for accuracy. Only then will we proceed with your order.
Examine the diagram pictured below, and locate the spot marked A. This is the left jamb and the starting location for you to begin taking the measurement for the Width of your existing window opening. Extend the tape measure until you have reached the spot marked B. This is located at the right jamb of your existing window opening. Read the tape measure and use the whole number in inches that is located closest to the area marked B. Record this on your measure form as the width.
Examine the diagram pictured below once again. This time locate the spot marked C. This is the header or the top of your window opening. This is the starting location for you to begin taking the measurement for the Height. Extend the tape measure until you have reached the spot marked D. This is situated at the bottom or the sill of the window. Read the tape measure and use the whole number in inches that is located closest to the area marked D. Record this on your measure form as the Height. Repeat this process with each of your windows until you are complete.
Now it is time to choose the Styles, Colors, & Options for your windows.
